Shopping at The London Bridal Show

Emma and I visited The London Bridal Show last month to browse the new bridal wear collections for upcoming trends and to see for ourselves what is going to turn heads in the bridal wear world for 2015.

A Bride-2-Bee is always keen on being at the forefront of the bridal wear market and so The London Bridal Show was an absolute must for (lucky :)) us!
And we weren't disappointed! The London Bridal Show was bursting at the seams with exquisite gowns from the finest designers the industry has to offer.  The talent on show was incredible and it was a highly inspiring environment to be in.So, what's on trend for 2015 we hear you ask? The classic look is still very popular but we saw a wider variety of fabrics from lace that has been very dominant over recent years, but also expect different types of lace from bolder patterns to intricate cotton lace. Low and statement backs are still taking us into 2015 and there was a wide selection of silhouettes on offer from A lines to fishtails to body skimming slinky numbers. Expect to see colour too, blush and champagnes with ivory overlay, even blues. Try it, you might like it!
Another very important reason for visiting The London Bridal Show was to scout new designers to join our current collections, and oh my, was this fun! We knew immediately when we had found the one, or should I say two, as we took on two new designers – Private Label by G’s Kenneth Winston and Sweetheart Gowns - both of which perfectly complement our current collections. It really was love at first sight and we can't wait to share them with you!
The Spring 2015 collection from Kenneth Winston was seriously lux, with softest satin, intricate beading, cotton lace and sexy but demure silhouettes with lots of low statement backs.  The Private Label by G design house, is a well-regarded US label which has, for over 30 years, been delivering extraordinary designs and the ‘perfect fit’.
Sweetheart Gowns' 2015 collection ranges from traditional lace, girly princess to chic and sassy, featuring touches of beading and fine draped fabrics. Sweetheart, brought to you by Justin Alexander Bridal, was born in 1983 and has remained a family run business ever since. Although trends change, Sweetheart still holds the same values in making sensational wedding dresses with meticulous detail and workmanship.
As you can imagine there was so much to choose from we easily chose more than twenty new gowns!
We also selected our Benjamin Roberts' 2015 collection. They are gorgeous, glamorous and instantly desirable with that added flare that makes you confident you have a truly unique wedding dress that reflects the real you.  We couldn't have been happier with our choices!
We also sourced some amazing accessories to complement our dress choices, from eye catching sparkle to elegant, simple pearls. Side tiaras, pins, vines and combs are still big news next season so we made sure we stocked up whilst we were there.  We pride ourselves on having a wide range of on-trend bridal accessories to offer our customers as we understand there is more to having your dream wedding day look than simply the magnificent gown.
It was great fun and fantastic to meet up with friends in the industry as well as make some new ones. We just have to wait patiently for the fruits of our shopping trip to arrive in store over the summer but as soon as they do we will be letting our customers know about it!
Until then, never fear! We have an extensive range of stunning wedding dresses in stock now, with Autumn 2014 seriously gorgeous gowns from Sottero and Midgley arriving over the next few weeks and best sellers from Blue by EnzoaniEnzoani Couture and Benjamin Roberts arriving in store regularly so why not make an appointment with Hampshire’s premier bridal boutique and give A Bride-2-Bee a call or email today - we’d love, and be privileged, to help you with your very important day!
