“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I have to inform you of my decision to hang up my tape measure and step down from bridal retailing. I’m keen to spend more time with my husband and two young sons, both of whom are growing up way too fast. As the lease on my beautiful premises in Warsash, Southampton will end in August 2018 I feel this is the right time to make this happen and therefore the A Bride-2-Bee boutique will be closing on 31 July 2018.

“My customers are really important to me and even though A Bride-2-Bee is closing, this ethos remains a top priority. I’d like to reassure all of my wonderful customers with a current dress/accessory order, or have goods in the process of receiving a service, that they will receive their items and services completed in time for their big day and that NONE of our existing customers with goods on order will be adversely effected. I have ensured that all goods supplied by my trusted designers are due to be delivered to our boutique before the closure date. For any new customers, we will only be able to accept new orders for goods and services that we can guarantee will be able to be delivered before the end of July 2018.

“I have written by email and post to all our existing customers to advise them of the planned closure giving reassurance that their order will be fulfilled, re-confirming any outstanding delivery dates and providing details of suppliers I trust for any services they may require at a later date and to contact me if they have concerns or questions.

“We will be holding an End of Lease Sale of all our current stock commencing 28th April 2018.

“This has been a truly difficult decision to make, especially as I have a fabulous team who, in the main, have been with me in the boutique since I’ve been at the helm. I want to sincerely thank them for their unwavering support throughout.

“A Bride-2-Bee opened in 1999 and quickly became one of the premier and most popular bridals boutiques on the south coast of England.

“It may be the end of an era for us all. We have dressed thousands of brides over the years and we’re taking away hundreds of stories of the fun and frolics we have had in store with our customers, their families and friends and the hundreds of babies that have proudly been presented to us.

“We shall sorely miss this interaction but time stands still for no-one.

"Thank you everybody who has made my job the best job in the world."
